The new Zenith Chronomaster Solo Sport watch is poised to make waves in the fiercely competitive dive watch market.
Zenith revolutionized the chronograph market with the Chronomaster Sport; now, it’s stirring up the dive watch arena with the new Zenith Chronomaster Solo Sport collection. The question is: is this just another drop in a saturated market, or will it be a bombshell that captures everyone’s attention? Let’s find out.
The new collection features four watches, and we’ve already received three of them. All watches have stainless steel cases, are water-resistant to 200 meters, and feature screw-down crowns. I wouldn’t presume to speak outside of watchmaking, but when it comes to buying a fake watch, size is undoubtedly crucial—it determines whether a timepiece can attract a global consumer.
The Zenith Chronomaster Solo Sport features a 40mm case, which is undeniably a highly sought-after diameter. The lug spacing is 46mm, which seems perfect on paper, suitable for those with smaller wrists without appearing too small. However, due to the curved design of the bracelet end connectors, the lug spacing is slightly increased, but the curvature of the bracelet end connectors makes it fit the wrist more snugly rather than extending outwards. The lugs are 20mm wide, allowing for various strap options, but if possible, we recommend using the original bracelet – we’ll discuss this in more detail later.
Finally, let’s talk about the case thickness – arguably the most closely watched measurement in watch design. I’ve seen many comments mentioning this, and I’ve publicly stated before that case thickness determines the quality of a watch. The Chronomaster Solo Sport has a case thickness of 11.93mm (excluding the crystal) and 13.13mm with the crystal. In my opinion, this thickness is almost impeccable, making it a slim diver’s watch worth considering.
Wristband
Unlike the Chronomaster Sport, the Chronomaster Solo Sport uses a ceramic bezel insert instead of a full ceramic bezel. The bezel insert features a full 60-minute timekeeping scale, which can be matched or paired with the dial color: black dial with a black ceramic bezel, and brown dial with a brown ceramic bezel. The dials are made of ceramic, with polished finishes on the black and brown dials, and a sunburst finish on the white dial. Typically, this material creates a more refined and elegant look, contrasting sharply with the utilitarian design of traditional dive watches. However, Zenith adds texture to these dials, particularly its exclusive high-frequency texture centered around a 45-degree “Z” pattern, giving the dial a rugged feel. Furthermore, the dials subtly incorporate homages to Zenith’s history, such as shark-tooth-shaped minute markers, further enhancing their uniqueness.
The three central hands and applied hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova for excellent legibility in the dark. All models feature a date window at 3 o’clock, seamlessly integrated with the dial. The black dial version is available with and without a date display to cater to consumers seeking a pure aesthetic.
As indicated by the high-frequency pattern on the dial, what truly sets this dive best copy watch apart is its high-frequency automatic movement—fully visible through the transparent case back. The in-house El Primero 3620 movement inside doesn’t employ traditional decorative styles. Instead, it blends brushed and grained textures, finishing with thin, beveled edges for a more modern look. This movement boasts a 60-hour power reserve, and notably, it’s the same movement used in Zenith’s flagship Defy Skyline series. However, unlike the Skyline’s 10-second rotation, this watch’s central seconds hand vibrates 36,000 times per hour, completing one revolution around the dial every 60 seconds. I’m very pleased with this.
I believe a rubber strap is a viable option for the future, but for now, these three color options are only available with a three-link stainless steel bracelet with a mixed finish.
Notably, this watch bracelet features Zenith’s exclusive ZENCLASP micro-adjustment system, allowing for adjustments in 2.5mm increments, four times in total, for a maximum adjustment range of 10mm. This is no ordinary micro-adjustment system.
ZENCLASP, to be unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2026, is the culmination of three years of development. Composed of 41 components, including 10 ceramic ball bearings, it ensures the locking and positioning of the micro-adjustment mechanism. To ensure its robustness and durability, Zenith copy subjected the design to stress testing equivalent to over 10 years or 600,000 cycles of opening and closing. Therefore, it is indeed a robust, reliable, proven, and well-constructed system.
While the Chronomaster Sport immediately sparked numerous comparisons upon its release (regardless of their validity), I believe the Chronomaster Solo Sport possesses an undeniable and unique charm both within and outside Zenith’s product line. When it comes to high-frequency dive watches, only three brands immediately come to mind—two belonging to the same parent company, and the third is Zenith. Therefore, having a dive watch powered by the high-frequency El Primero movement truly sets it apart.
In Zenith’s catalog, most of the dive watches we’ve seen in recent years have belonged to the Defy series—its aesthetic style is rather unconventional. Therefore, the Chronomaster Solo Sport presents a more traditional or common Zenith dive watch style, while incorporating many unique elements, such as the dial pattern, the ZENCLASP clasp, and of course, the high-frequency El Primero movement.
These days, almost every watchmaker inevitably hears comments about watches being overpriced, but I believe the watch’s superior qualities, its legendary high-frequency movement, and the ZENCLASP clasp make it extremely attractive and competitive at this price point. https://www.reviewluxurystore.com/
